Emma’s wake up call
Emma hadn’t realised quite how badly her smoking was affecting her health until she had an unstoppable coughing fit under anaesthetic for a routine knee arthroscopy. The anaesthetist later told her the medical emergency was a clear sign she needed to quit smoking. Since stopping smoking with the aid of quitting medication, Emma has embraced life, becoming a regular at the gym. She is thrilled to be free of the habit that affected so many aspects of both her work life and family life.
